Responsibilities
• Develop and implement import procurement strategies aligned with project timelines and budget.
• Identify and evaluate international suppliers and manufacturers for cost-effective sourcing.
• Ensure all imported materials and equipment meet relevant industry standards.
• Oversee the entire import process, including purchase orders, shipping, customs clearance, and final delivery.
• Track and monitor shipment status to prevent delays and mitigate supply chain risks.
• Ensure duty and tariff exemptions (if applicable) are applied to eligible imported goods.
• Provide regular reports on import procurement status, shipment tracking, and cost analysis to the Senior Manager – Procurement & Logistics.
• Work closely with finance, legal, and operations teams to align procurement activities with project requirements.
• Address import-related issues, including delays, damages, or customs disputes, in a timely manner.
• Prepare purchase orders (POs), contract negotiations, and vendor agreements.
• Manage RFI, RFQ and RFPs for procurement of International Goods and Services
• Assist in managing the departmental Risk Register
• Assist in managing the departmental RACI Matrix
• In consultation with the Chief Operations Officer and the Reporting line, set up the 3-5 years Business Plan
• Assist in managing the departmental KPIs
