Focus Area
1. Pharmacists have a multifaceted role, encompassing medication management, patient counselling, and collaboration with healthcare professionals
2. Ensuring the safe and effective use of medications, including dispensing, monitoring, and reviewing drug therapies
3. Provide drug information, educate patients and staff, and manage pharmacy operations.
4. Interpreting prescriptions, advising on drug dosages, and ensuring safe and effective medication use

Key Activities:
• Accurately prepare and dispense medications according to prescriptions and legal guidelines.
• Providing information on medication usage, potential side effects, and interactions, ensuring patients understand how to use their medications safely and effectively.
• Review prescriptions for accuracy and appropriateness, checking for potential drug interactions and other concerns
• Communicating with the physician to dispense medication correctly.
• Maintain and manage pharmacy stock, ordering, storing, labelling medicine and disposing of medications appropriately.
• Ensure adherence to state and federal regulations and pharmacy policies.
• Safety: Maintaining a safe and clean work environment, adhering to safety regulations
• Directing patients towards over-the-counter medication to treat their ailment.
• Efficiently organizing the pharmacy to make the identification of medicine easier and faster

Educational Requirements and Work Experience :
• Diploma in health and medical certificates.
• Experienced in pharmacy practices for at least 01 one year.
