Senior Accountant ( Uganda & Rwanda)

a) Job Description

i. Perform financial management duties including generating financial data, compiling and submitting reports, analyzing industry trends and assessing the financial health of the company.

ii. Oversee the operations and development of the company’s finance departments including creating and reviewing policies, budgeting, recruiting, training and conducting regular assessments of financial procedures.

iii. Supervise the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual account reconciliations, monitor and enforce compliance with tax and financial reporting standards and assist with cash flow management and forecasting.

iv. Advice colleagues and executive management on decisions related to the company’s finances.

v. Supervise the documentation of the company’s financial status and forecasts.

vi. Mediate between the organization, employees, stakeholders, shareholders and investors on financial issues for amicable resolution of differences.

vii. Create strategic business plans based on the analysis of the company’s status and financial forecasts.

b) Qualifications

i. Degree in finance, banking, economics or accounting

ii. CPA K, ACCA finalist or equivalent

iii. 6 years proven accounting experience with at least 2 years as a senior accountant of a multinational with regional reporting matrix with emphasis on the country i.e Uganda or Rwanda

iv. A good Multi-linguae

v. Ability to multi-task seamlessly with high level team player
