As our HR Manager in Rwanda, you'll be the driving force behind creating an exceptional employee experience while steering our organisation towards sustainable growth. In this pivotal role, you'll directly impact how we attract, develop, and retain top talent in one of Africa's most progressive capitals. Your expertise will be crucial as we expand our presence in the African market, making you an essential architect of our success story in the region.

Your Challenge:
• Craft and implement localised HR policies and processes that seamlessly integrate with Deriv's global standards, covering everything from onboarding new talent to managing benefits programmes
• Drive the optimisation of our HR systems and technology, ensuring data integrity while identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency through automation
• Navigate the complexities of local and international employment laws, developing comprehensive employee handbooks and working with legal counsel to ensure full compliance
• Transform raw employee data into actionable insights, generating reports that highlight trends and opportunities for continuous improvement
• Partner with the Head of Office to address employee relations matters with sensitivity and professionalism, providing thoughtful resolution to conflicts
• Guide managers and team members through performance management processes, ensuring fairness while driving a culture of high achievement
• Lead innovative HR initiatives that enhance employee engagement, recognition, and organisational effectiveness

Requirements:
• A minimum of 8 years' experience in HR, including 2-4 years of successful team leadership
• Bring valuable insight from working in a global organisation, particularly within fintech (preferable)
• Hold a relevant degree in HR Management, with a Master’s degree preferred
• Possess in-depth knowledge of local and international employment regulations
• Demonstrate exceptional interpersonal and leadership skills
• Approach challenges with an analytical, data-driven mindset to inform decisions
• Thrive in fast-paced, multicultural environments, where adaptability is key
• Take satisfaction in resolving complex HR challenges with creative and practical solutions
• Enjoy building relationships across all organisational levels, from entry-level employees to executive leadership
• Passionate about using data and analytics to drive strategic HR decisions
• Fluent in English, with excellent verbal and written communication skills
