Requirement
• Organize and prepare equipment, tools, and materials for underground fan installation.
• Securely install and mount UG ventilation fans according to mine ventilation plans and safety requirements.
• Ensure all structural supports, brackets, and rigging components are properly fastened to prepare the fan for electrical commissioning.
• Work closely with ventilation engineers to ensure fans are positioned for optimal airflow and efficiency.
• Perform rigging and lifting operations using hoists, slings, and other rigging equipment in underground environments.
• Inspect and verify the stability and security of installed fans before handover to the electrical department.
• Coordinate with the mine’s electrical department to ensure smooth transition for commissioning.
• Conduct inspections and maintenance of rigging equipment to ensure safety and compliance.
• Adhere to all underground safety protocols, including proper use of PPE and hazard identification.
• Assist in training and mentoring junior riggers or support personnel as needed

Responsibilities
• The Underground Rigger will be responsible for the secure installation of underground (UG) ventilation fans in accordance with ventilation engineering recommendations.
• This role ensures that all fans are properly positioned, mounted, and secured, making them ready for the mine site's electrical department for commissioning.
• The position requires expertise in rigging, underground installation procedures, and strict adherence to safety regulations.

Qualification Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering (BAC +3)
• Certificate in rigging Engineering studies
• Certificate in Installation of ventilation equipment
Experience And Skills Requirements
• Minimum of five years (5) in UG mining industry
