Monitor and Evaluator project Specialist
My responsabilities were :
1. Surveys Preparation: Monitoring and evaluation department at One Acre Fund conducted more than ten
surveys each year some of them are : bi-annuals surveys (planting surveys, crops mixt surveys, harvest
surveys), annual surveys (survey of quality of life and trees) and permanent surveys(analyze the impact of
solar lamps.
My duties were :
❖ writing survey questionnaires;
❖ Traduce the questionnaire in local language ( Kirundi) ;
❖ Verify and adapt the questionnaire on burundian context
❖ Prepare surveys in CommCare HQ software.
❖ Verification of the display and validity conditions in the tablet and make corrections before starting
the survey;
❖ Using the Roster software to select survey participants;
❖ the preparation of the training guides for the investigators and the training guides for the trainers of
the field team
❖ Training of field team trainers ;
❖ Testing the surveys on the field ;
❖ Prepare the backchecks and field receipts.
2. Implimentation of the surveys:
❖ follow-up surveys by making field visits

❖ Answer to the questions/ investigators challenges.
❖ Follow-up the data collection by using CommCare HQ Software.
❖ Weekly Monitoring of KPI ( kees perform indicators) of the field team ;
❖ Verification and cleanning weekly datas.
3. Team management. Monitoring and Evaluation was composed by 49 persons, such as 38 investigators, 9
managers, 1 assistant director and 1 director.
I worked together with the field team director to :
❖ Hire (« select » and train (« onboarding ») of new investigators ;
❖ Capacity bulding of the field team ;
❖ Analyse of the back checks and field receipts;
❖ Evaluation of the performance of the team field.
4. Data analysies : Monitoring and Evaluation at department of One Acre Fund made 150 surveys a day, and I
must analyse quickly and share the results with ather departments in oder to take some decisions related to
the project. I analysed the results and produced the reports with the support of M&E department.
❖ Data analysies in excel software ;
❖ Reports development in (Excel) ;
❖ Results presentation to other departements of One Acre Fund.
➢ From January to December 2016: Independent Agent for distribution and geocoding of sales points for PSI
Burundi products in Muramvya and Mwaro province. The main responsibilities are:
❖ Supervise the sales of PSI Burundi products;
❖ Create and geocod the points of sale of PSI Burundi products using a GPS (Global Positioning System) as well as
the ODK application (Open Data Kit)
❖ Participate in planning meetings for social marketing strategies;
❖ Prepare monthly reports

Permanent communal activities Coordinator of RCE (Régie communal de l’eau) of MURAMVYA Commune
My duties and responsabilities were :
Administrative manager :
❖ Organise meetings with program partenars ;
❖ Organize and participate in public awareness planning meetings on the management of public
infrastructures in general and on hydraulic infrastructures in particular ;
❖ Contract management for all RCE staff;
❖ Prepare and follow up the RCE Staff payment ;
❖ RCE spokesman and provincial coordinator ;
❖ Regular monitoring of the RCE activities ;
❖ Plan activities and hold weekly meetings of RCE ;
❖ Conduct field visits to monitor the population for a good management of hydrolic structures.
Financial management :
❖ Manage RCE budget, follow the incomes and outcomes as it’s written in previews annual budget ;
❖ Monitor the collection of water charge;
❖ Follow of the payment of water charges.
Technical management :
❖ Organize the fountain makers at the beginning of each week by giving them the places that require repairs
to the drinking water infrastructure.
❖ Organise ( prepare and impliment ) an identification the location of hydraulic infractructures servey ;
❖ Appuyer les fontainiers en faisant des visites de terrain pour les aider à trouver les solutions sur les problèmes techniques rencontrés.
❖ Support the team workers by conducting field visit to find out solutions.
