Job Description:

Major Activities

1. Implement the WEE activities of the project across key project components including nutrition, WASH, value chain development and marketing, as per the approved budgets, scope & timeline at province level Ensure that GEDSI, including WEE, approaches are understood and integrated in implementation of project activities, reporting tools and documentation.

2. Ensure timely and high-quality implementation of all planned activities in the province of assignment;

Communicate timely to Grant Manager and Grant coordinator WEE any changes or adjustments needed to the plan

3. Provide adequate support to planned studies (baseline and project evaluation surveys) integrating GEDSI approaches and help the M&E staff in close collaboration with other external partners at provincial level and help the M&E staff in close collaboration with other external partners at provincial level

4. Working closely with the Grant coordinator - WEE, monitor the use of business process implementation of maternal and child nutrition enhancement project to ensure that the program is aligned with WV, donor and other relevant standards

5. Participate and actively exchange learning on GEDSI including WEE approaches in regular project coordination meetings at commune level and in the provincial coordination and project learning forums Support to produce regular project reports at communal level

Qualifications: Education/Knowledge

Minimum of Bac+3 degree relevant to Social or Political Sciences, including Gender in development, Human Rights, Law and Development.
3 years of professional experience in gender and WEE along with relief and/or development field working with local or international NGOs.

Technical Skills and Experience:

Advanced project management skills and good understanding of the project life cycle;
Good understanding of best practices in nutrition, agricultural value chain and community development;
Experience with development project management tools such as log frames, monitoring and evaluation tools and budgets;
Excellent supervision skills, including training, mentoring and supporting staff;
Advanced written and verbal communication skills, including report-writing and formal communication skills;
Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office and Microsoft Outlook (or another main email system);
Ability to speak and write with a standard English;
Fluency in French and Kirundi;
Good understanding of World Vision and Sphere relief standards;
Knowledge of and adherence to the Red Cross and NGO Code of Conduct.

Working Environment / Conditions:

Domestic Travel: Regular internal travel to project areas is required.
On call: As required.
